In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (general regulation on protection data, hereinafter referred to as RODO, Journal of Laws UE L 2016, No. 119), we would like to inform you that:

1. The administrator of your personal data is the Krakow University of Economics (KUE) with its registered office in Cracow, Rakowicka Str. 27, 31-510 Krakow (hereinafter: “administrator”).

Your personal data provided in the application form will be processed in order to register your participation in the scientific event entitled The 19th annual Social Simulation Conference (SSC 2024), organized by the Krakow University of Economics, (hereinafter: “event”), in order to communicate with the participants of the event for the purpose of its proper organization, as well as to document it and its promotion on the organizer’s website. In the future – also in order to send you information about scientific events organized by the Krakow University of Economics.
4. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6. 1 e) RODO in connection with the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws, item 1668) and the university’s mission to conduct scientific activities, shaping civic attitudes and participation in social development and creating an economy based on innovation. Your personal data will also be processed in connection with the legitimate interest pursued by the administrator, e.g. the investigation or defense of claims (Article 6. 1 f) RODO).
5. Your personal data may be made available to appropriate recipients, in particular: Participants of the event, as well as specific external entities involved in IT or legal service of the administrator and entities providing for the administrator other services based on contracts entrusting the processing of personal data. These entities will be obliged to keep confidentiality of the data being processed. Personal data may also be disclosed to institutions authorized to control the activity of the administrator, as well as entities authorized to access data on the basis of legal provisions.
6. Your personal data will be processed for the period necessary to achieve the goals for which they are collected, i.e. related to the organization of the event by the Krakow University of Economics, as well as its documentation and its promotion on the organizer’s website, and then will be kept for the period required by law in the scope of storing financial, accounting and reporting documentation regarding this event.
7. You have the right to request the administrator to access your personal data, rectify them, delete or limit processing, as well as the right to object to the processing – in cases and according to the rules set out in the provisions of the RODO. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
8. Personal data provided by you is voluntary. Your failure to provide the data will prevent participation in the in the event.
9. Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision making or profiling.

In addition, we would like to inform you that in order to document the event, photos and multimedia materials will be taken during the event, which will be posted on websites belonging to the Krakow University of Economics.
