The conference diner will be held at the Kawaleria – Szarża Smaku (Cavalry – Charge of Taste) restaurant, which is located in the Cracow City Center in the Gołębia Street, 4, see https://ssc2024.uek.krakow.pl/social-events/.
Starting from around 19:15 we will have a welcome drink and the classical guitar concert in the yard of the restaurant. The dinner itself will start at around 20:15.
Two glasses of wine / two bottles of (alcohol free) beer are included in the conference dinner. You may buy extras at the restaurant’s bar later.
Please have your conference badge with/on you . Please also take the coloured card you received during the registration with you and put it in fornt of the table – your menu will depend on the colour.

Only for the participants who declared in the survey that they would like to visit the Collegium Maius and Collegium Novum before the conference dinner, as we have a limited number of places in Collegium Maius.
We will go directly after Rosaria Conte Award session. Meeting point is the registration desk around 16:30. For those wishing to arrive on their own, the meeting point is the courtyard of the Collegium Maius at 17:15 (punctual). You will be divided in four groups with different order of visits. already there.
After a visit, we will directly go to a conference dinner together.

We are going to a bar on Wednesday evening – everyone pays for himself. We have reserved sixty places in the bar Szklanki (Szklanki) in the Kazimierz – old Jewish district. Those who are not going to the Wieliczka salt mine can come earlier, starting from 20:00. Those going to Wieliczka will be able to get off the train at the earlier station (together with one of the organisers) on their way back and join the event later, around 22:00.

Social Event : A tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine – https://ssc2024.uek.krakow.pl/social-events/. We meet on Wednesday at 16:20 at the registration desk. Punctually at 16:30 we must leave the campus for the train station (the train leaves at 17:08). We have train tickets and packed lunch. The packed lunch will be distributed at the registration desk. In Wieliczka we will be divided into two groups. At 21:11 we have a return train from Wieliczka.
Participants who wish to join us at the railroad station (Krakow Glowny) are asked to appear on the platform at latest 16.55 (train to Wieliczka).
There is also a final list of participants (based of the payments of the additional fee) available at the registration desk. We kindly ask you to verify, whether you are on this list (people who have not done so yet) of participants for this event.

Changes to the conference programme: The ESSA General Assembly has been moved to Wednesday 15:30 – 16:30. While Rosaria Conte Award has been moved to Thursday 15:30 – 16:30.

We sent a questionnaire, regarding organizational matters, to individual email addresses. We kindly ask you to fill it out by Friday (6th of September).

Posters requirements:
The preferred format is A1. The posters should be self-printed. There is no possibility to print the posters at Cracow University of Economics.
There are no other formal requirements for posters’ format.
The printed posters should be handed in at the registration. They will be posted by the organizers.

Presentation requirements:
The duration of the presentation is 25 minutes for long papers, 20 minutes for short papers and 10 or 15 minutes (depending on the session) for extended abstracts. Please leave sufficient time for the discussion: at least five minutes in case of long and short papers, and two/three minutes in case of extended abstracts.
There are no formal requirements for presentations’ format.
Please upload the presentations before the sessions’ start. In the case of online presenters, you will be asked to upload the files using MS Teams software. Detailed instructions will be sent to you by e-mail.

All participants who have completed the conference registration form and have not yet made payment are asked to do so by September 3, 2024, which will facilitate of the conference preparation process.

Due to the high level of interest in the SSC 2024 conference, the organizers would like to inform that participants registered for the conference after August 27, 2024 will not be guaranteed to attend the conference dinner on September 19, 2024. Nevertheless, every effort will be made to ensure that all participants have the opportunity to attend this social event.
